“Burn the wick to greet the flame, a fresh candle, a new name.“
She entered through the doors,
Reading those lines.
Amused and confused at the same time.
She met the person,
Who could change her future,
Who promised her, things would change.
Prepped up for the surgery,
And lips chanting a prayer,She looked through the horizon
That had turned orange as the sun set.
Wheeled into the operation theatre,
With the positive words from her doctor,
She smiled at the nurses,
Who were amazed at her courage.
As they approached her room,
She read the name on the chart.
It read ADVAIT instead of ‘ADVAITA’
And tears of happiness rolled down.
The doctor came in smiling
And said, “Let’s begin fresh,
Burn the wick to greet the flame,
A fresh candle, a new name.

Burn the wick to greet the flame
A fresh candle, a new name.
A flame that fuels my passion, making me complete,
Like a runner’s steady beat and my feet thumping the track.
Carrying me forward where dreams and words stack.
With every step, every stride, I find my calling,
A symphony of joy and desire, my heart’s longing.
My poetry, a mirror of my soul’s deepest fire,
Inspiring and fostering a flame to aspire.
I am the spark that sets my journey alight,
Running, writing to shine my light.
Miles of marathon, poetic tapestry woven,
Leaving the path for emotions unspoken.

My dreams keep fluttering like the caged bird,
Today or tomorrow, they will be heard.
With every twilight, I light a candle of hope,
For I believe that every dawn will bring a new scope.
Accepting my flaws, I shape my destiny today,
Dreaming visible goals, I will stand up tall every day.
Like the candle, I will toil regularly,
With a fresh ray of hope,
I will ignite my path with inner strength constantly.
I will give a new name to my dreams each day,
I will burn the wick to greet the flame,
a fresh candle, a new name to guide my way.
