I wasn’t a book feel any day. On a regular college day (year 2009), I saw one of my classmates reading “Oh Shitt, Not Again!” , the font was catchy to grab my attention. I widened my eyes to check the author, it was Mandar Kokate.
I went back to my bench, but I somehow couldn’t resist and asked my friend about the book, he literally reviewed the book a 9/10. He told me that he would wrap up this one in a day or two, and suggested, rather insisted me to read this one.
I was initially nonchalant, indifferently I mediated. Two days later, he was more than happy to lend me the book.
He also politely mentioned that the language and flow of the book is very simple ( obviously he mentioned it look at my disinterest in reading a novel).
Late night, I was wakeful and pushed myself to hold that novel, hesitantly I initiated the first page, and in no time the curiosity stirred up.
With drowsy eyes, I still wanted to read more of it. Rubbed my eyes, grabbed a cup of tea and continued the reading. I was so curious about what was coming next in the story.
Night 1 & Night 2 ….and I was done with the book. It felt like an achievement. I was completely delved in the novel and ita after thoughts.
The next day, I handed it back to my friend with a big-broad smile, only to ask him for some more books…
That day and today, I have become an avis reader, and proudly call myself a bookworm.
