Unexplored Conversations Book Review: A Reflective Non-Fiction on Unspoken Thoughts

Book Name: Unexplored Conversations
Author: Vedika Khatwani Chandka
Publication: Notion Press
Genre: Reflective Non-Fiction

I don’t know when exactly Unexplored Conversations started affecting me. It wasn’t instant. There was no “wow” moment. It happened slowly, somewhere between reading a page and closing the book just to… sit.

This book feels like that person who doesn’t say much but somehow makes you talk. About things you weren’t planning to. About people you thought you were done with. About words you never said because saying them felt unnecessary at the time or too risky.

The writing is very straightforward. No drama. No big declarations. And yet, it kept reminding me of conversations I have mentally replayed a hundred times. The kind where you think of better responses years later. Or the ones you avoided completely and then convinced yourself they didn’t matter.

While reading, I kept catching myself thinking of specific faces. Some relationships that are still intact. Some that quietly drifted away. Some that exist only in memory now. And some uncomfortable conversations I kept pushing away because I was scared, or hesitant.

This book doesn’t actually try to fix anything. It doesn’t tell you to confront people, seek closure, or heal dramatically. It just says—this exists. These gaps exist. These silences exist. Your pretence doesn’t make them vanish.

This isn’t a book for everyone. If you like clear stories, conclusions, and momentum, this might feel slow. But if you’re someone who overthinks conversations in the shower, replays old arguments while doing the dishes, or wonders what if I had said that instead—this book will quietly sit next to you.

For me, Unexplored Conversations wasn’t about uncovering anything new. It was about moments of self-realisation, self-awareness, and recognising what was already inside me.

As humans, we tend to avoid or ignore many conversations. Sometimes out of hesitation. Sometimes out of preconceived notions. And this book understands that—without judging it.
