My most earnest wish for Christmas is that Covid should disappear, the virus should be erased and the people of the world should heave a sigh of relief.
Another wish for Christmas is eradication of poverty. Poverty is the biggest curse of this world. The rich don’t care for the poor. As the Mahatma said, “there is enough for everyone’s need but not for everyone’s greed.” My wish is that the rich should stop being greedy and unscrupulous and share their wealth with the poor.
Each person should have access to excellent health care and education. The poorest of the poor deserve a life of dignity, and good education and health care. Society can truly progress, nations can develop only when every citizen is satisfied and every need is fulfilled.
Caring, sharing and empathy is the most urgent requirement of the hour. Love and tolerance are essential if people have to live together peacefully, if countries have coexist in harmony and world peace is our goal.
My final wish for Christmas is for my country. Let my country become safe for women and children, for minorities and for the marginalized. Let my country be driven by love and not by hate. Let the ruling class become compassionate. Let farmers get a good price for their produce. Let the poor not suffer constantly. Let the workers be respected and paid well. Let our country become prosperous and spiritual.
