I was in no mood to watch Bholaa, and watched it because my kids love action and VFX. The movie also gets brownie points because there are umpteen Ajay-Tabbu fans craving to watch their chemistry ( I have been one of them always).
BHOLAA is a remake (not copy to copy though) of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi (2019). The movie would certainly give you the south-Indian movie vibes, with a very predictable plot, yet interesting narration.
This movie on Amazon Prime did not get much applause and stars, but trust me, it has to be an enjoyable watch with your family.
It begins with a confusing start, the first half puts you perplexed, because you are clueless about what’s happening with Tabbu, the policemen, Ajay Devgan and the hooligans of course. The movie reminded me of those old-school chor-police movies.
As the second half begins, Bholaa starts holding the grip, may it be the nail biting thrill between the hooligans and Tabbu / Ajay or the plot happening at the police station.
The cast of the movie is indeed superb and would give a treat to your eyes. Kids certainly enjoy the VFX , the fight scenes especially with the Bholaa theme music.
These days when you have to put a lot of pressure on your brain and hearts while watching movies/series, Bholaa is an easy watch that you would enjoy and get thrilled about.
I recommend Bholaa despite its thin plot because of those astounding action sequences and thrill throughout the movie. I am sure , the movie won’t let you down.
Watch once and let me know in the comments how you liked it!
