“Change of season is a natural happening.”
But as human nature goes, people tend to crib about everything.
When it was too cold, some would complain, “Oh! It is so cold, I can’t tolerate it anymore.”
Then comes the Spring season. Just as people start enjoying it, Summer arrives, and the same old story begins:
“Omg! Kitni garmi hai this year! It’s unbearable! What will happen in April, May, and June?”
The seasons will follow their course. We can’t change them—but we can prepare ourselves to beat the heat during the scorching summer months.
Skin Care Tips
Keep drinking plain water regularly. It cools your body and keeps your skin hydrated.
Make a paste of haldi (turmeric) or chandan (sandalwood) in milk and apply it to your face. It acts as a natural face pack.
Wash your face with cold, fresh water to feel instant freshness.
Protection Against Heat
If you must step out in the heat, cover your face and hands.
Instead of aerated drinks like Coca-Cola, opt for Bael Sharbat, Lemon Juice, or fresh coconut water—which is the best!
After coming home, don’t drink cold water immediately. Sit and relax first, wash your face, and then drink plain water or Aam Panna.
You can even roast mangoes and prepare fresh Aam Panna and store it.
Bathing Habits
Use a soap that suits your skin. Back in the day, Margo Soap was used in most households. Despite its bitter taste, elders believed it was the best.
Lux Soap was once considered a luxury for celebrities.
Take a bath twice daily to keep your skin clean and fresh—but avoid wasting water.
Diet Tips for Skin Wellness
Limit hot drinks like tea or coffee. Opt for cold coffee for a refreshing effect.
Avoid sitting under AC for too long—it may dry out your skin.
Include watermelons, muskmelons, and oranges in your diet—they help in hydration.
Avoid too much fried food as it may dry your skin. Binging once in a while is fine.
Splash cool water on your face frequently to stay refreshed.
Treat yourself to some ice cream or kulfi occasionally for a sweet, cooling relief.
Clothing Tips
Wear cotton clothes—they are breathable and comfortable for summer.
Choose light, pleasant shades to stay cool and feel good.
Travel and Leisure
Plan a short trip to a cooler place if possible—it helps recharge your mind and body.
It all depends on your budget, but even a brief getaway can help beat the heat.
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy the summer season—because it’s inevitable. Let’s make the best of it!
