Mobile Addiction and Family Time: Why Listening to Elders Still Matters Today
Very true words from the elders.
The elders were the forecasters.
Do not just wave off their advice. Sit and think about why they are saying all these things repeatedly.
Seeing the present generation’s mad rush for comparisons, they are neglecting their health.
A family of three does not even have the time to sit peacefully and have one meal together. Even during the meal, the parents and the kids look down and scroll their mobiles.
Try to make it a habit to keep the phone far away while
eating,
sleeping,
or watching a movie together.
There would be peace at home, and one can sleep peacefully at night.
Sadly, the interaction between family members is diminishing, and a lot of misunderstandings develop, spoiling their relationships.
Mobiles and technology, no doubt, are a boon as long as we use them carefully.
Overuse of anything causes destruction.
No doubt, the present generation is lucky to gain knowledge from Google and other sources, which at times may give false information too.
The elders at home, with their experiences, can teach the correct way of living. But who cares?
“Hey, we know better than you oldies,” they say, waving off their elders.
The fast movement of life is highly competitive, which causes a lot of mental stress for the poor kids who try to score like their peers.
The husband and wife are forced to work overtime to compete with their pals. Each person has their own capacity to come up in life.
Can we claim to be the happiest people in the present time?
Do not waste time and miss the train of success in life. Time once passed will never come back.
Regretting later may not help.
These are my points of view that I have shared. It is everyone’s individual thinking.
I have followed these steps and I am happy to have become an Author at the fag end of my life.
I can say to God,
“I lived to fulfill my goals, the bucket list as they call it.”
I am grateful to God.
Namaskaram.
Good luck to all the students giving their first milestone exams.
Good day.
