On Day 4, the theme was “Intuition.” These stories and poems showcase the power of inner wisdom, foresight, and trusting one’s instincts, especially in challenging circumstances.
1.
“I’ve always had strong intuitions. When I first met Preeti, I saw sadness hidden even in her smile. Later, when she committed suicide, James and I weren’t surprised—we had sensed it coming,” Marilyn told her colleagues. For once, nobody made fun of her.
That night, her husband James teased, laughing,
“You mean you’ve got extra sensory power, like Madhuri Dixit in 100 Days?”
Marilyn smiled faintly. Deep within, she sensed James was in trouble. Closing her eyes, she prayed,
“God, help me. And this time, don’t let my intuition come true.”
— Marilyn Evans
2.
Her feminine intuition has always been right. Life has taken a drastic turn since she started trusting her gut feeling.
Although her ego sometimes triggered her to argue, her intuition would promptly shut her down. At first, she absorbed negative energy and felt terrible. Today, she finds unparalleled bliss in letting go.
Insults, bullying, teasing—‘Poor soul!’ she now understands and even pities her offenders. Every encounter is an unavoidable lesson. She accepts people with peace and grace, maintaining healthy boundaries, and cutting off ties when necessary.
— Amrita Mallik
3.
Grief devastated her in unimaginable ways, knowing a rare untreatable disease was brewing in her body. Her soul felt hollow, yet she gathered strength to face distress.
The idea of a solo trip always charmed her. Without delay, she prepared her suitcase and camera and headed to the seaside. The sea’s magic dissipated the melancholy surrounding her. Trusting her inner voice, her intuition guided her through uncertainties. Whispering to herself, she said,
“I can fight all odds and make it.”
— Payel Biswas
4.
“My intuition gets fulfilled many times,” she said.
Whenever the cricket match was on, her son would ask,
“Did you pray to Ganesha? And what does your intuition say?”
Most of the time, her intuition came true, and India won the match. Once, on Durga Puja morning, she told her husband,
“Today I feel we shall await a surprise in the evening.”
He laughed and kept quiet. She couldn’t relax, thinking about the surprise. When the bell rang, she opened the door to find her son’s family standing there.

5. Poem
Oh Sharade Maa! You are an incarnation divine!
Your superpowers make you superfine!
We on Earth cannot define
Such inklings of a prodigious kind.
Blessed with ‘INTUITION’, nudging us along,
To decipher right from wrong,
Of thoughts and impulses that throng,
Anticipating vibes weak or strong.
Some are intuitive to the times around,
A sense of perception of exceptional bounds,
A clairvoyance beyond sensory grounds,
A sixth sense prodding revelations sound.
Oh Maa Saraswati! Goddess all-knowing!
Oh Mother Shakti! Your benevolence ever flowing!
Your blessings for souls’ wellbeing,
Of premonitions without conscious reasoning!
— Shakuntala Kanakagiri
6.
Intuition!! Ah-ha!
A woman’s intuition never fails. She notices everything…
Her instinct is attuned to your words, your empty gestures, the absence in your presence.
She may stay silent, maybe smile and pretend to believe,
but inside, she’s already piecing everything together.
Her instincts are sharp. She sees right through the facade.
And when she finally confronts, she’s not looking for answers—she already has them.
She sensed the truth long before.
So don’t mistake her silence for weakness or ignorance—
A woman’s intuition never fails.
— Swati Mohandas
