Dreams are a peek into our subconscious mind.
Hidden in them, our fears and aspirations we find.
Every dream begins with a dreamer, they say…
Live your dreams—see them, be it night or day.
Somewhere in my childhood days, enacting as a teacher, I guess my dream to become a teacher took shape. Teaching my younger siblings was my rehearsal. In school, I never feared standing before my class to explain or answer topics on any subject, when asked by my teacher.
Being fortunate to have excellent teachers as my role models through school and college made my dream stronger. It’s been a rewarding journey for me till I retired two years back. As it had become my heart’s desire to impart knowledge and educate children, I started my own coaching class.
Dreams are like the mighty sun shining bright.
To realize our goals, our limitations we’ve to fight.
Dreams are like a bud waiting to bloom into a flower—
Wait patiently; the transformation will happen at the set hour.
Starting with only a handful of students, in time, I had to start taking students in batches. I began coaching children of the Primary Section, of the State Board. As my recognition grew and spread through word of mouth, I was approached by parents of various schools affiliated with different boards. And it was again time to dream anew… to aspire for a higher goal.
Dreams are like a brave kite soaring high.
With grit and determination, we too can reach the sky.
Dreams are like the river flowing—
The higher we rise, the more they keep growing.
After a few years, I wanted to start my own kindergarten school.
Dreams are like the waves lapping to the shore—
Some come with hidden secrets of the subconscious to pour.
Dreams are like a butterfly, the flower and nectar searcher—
The more you try to catch them, they fly away further.
All my attempts at setting up my own school were, sadly, unsuccessful. Some obstacle or the other always stood in my way. Those times were full of frustration and despair. At that time, I felt that…
Some dreams are dazzling like the stars and moon.
Some are nightmares; we wish to forget them soon.
I didn’t give up my dream; instead, I collected all the fragments of my dream. When I was unable to realize my dream, I did the second-best thing: saw my dream through the eyes of others.
I helped a few of my friends who wanted to set up their own nursery schools. From thinking of the school’s name to preparing the admission forms and syllabus, designing the school uniform, and making various other decisions—they were all entrusted to me. It gave me immense satisfaction and happiness when my ideas and inputs were accepted and implemented.
Dreams are like the rainbow, we would love to hold.
Hope dreams come true, and we find the pot of gold.
Well, I’m still holding on to my dreams… as they come like the waves to touch the shores of my aspirations again and again…
