The Magic of Our Words

A senior woman enjoys journaling at a table in a warm, cozy home setting.

“Have I any reason to…” she seems grumpy.
“Stop that RIGHT NOW! You’re enjoying your best life. You’re happy, content, and at peace with yourself.”
Soon, the mood changes, and she feels calm.

“Too many debts. No more options to take loans. The only way out is committing suicide.”
“Stop that RIGHT NOW! You’re successful in completing the tests by the Divine. You’re abundantly blessed.”
The mood shifts. The fight occurs gracefully.

Silent or verbal, penned or not, words continue to remain in the limelight. From what we feed ourselves every moment to what comes out of our mouths, words make or break.

Standing on the verge of completing a year, let our words evoke only the celebration of life. Our gestures, behaviour, acceptance, and, obviously, gratitude uplift us and others.

Let’s learn to be mindful and persevere. Although AI and the rush of the ‘instant’ tend to control our minds and, hence, our actions, let’s understand that human intelligence and common sense should always remain superior.

The world is bleeding. Evil has inflicted too many wounds. Just like everyone became a ticking bomb during Covid, henceforth, let’s all be a tiny light. Let our magical healing touch repair these wounds. Much akin to Florence Nightingale, let’s generously spread our light everywhere.

But how? It is easier said than done, isn’t it?

Well, let’s begin by feeding ourselves with good vibes.
“I am grateful for another day added to my life.” Let such inspiring words set the tone of each day.
“I am grateful for being aligned with the divine plan.” And if any portion of the day goes against our expectations, let’s not start finding pleasure in pain. Let’s not spoil the rest of the day for ourselves and our loved ones.

Seeking forgiveness and forgiving are necessary tools to keep ourselves charged and on the right track. I agree, it doesn’t happen overnight. However, practising it daily definitely gives results. Won’t you love to forgive yourself for the ways you have been hurting yourself? If nothing else, through anger and jealousy?

While going through a financial crisis, let’s first stop complaining and labelling ourselves or blaming others. Instead, let’s mindfully acknowledge the abundance we experience every day—sunlight, air, water, blessings of the Divine and our elders, and so much more.

“I am in so much stress!” This has become so commonplace. Due to constant cribbing, we lose our vision, touch, and feel in their truest essence. We seek quick gratification, and when it fails (which it is bound to), we assume we have failed too and mindlessly take drastic steps.

We look forward to festivals and holidays to ‘celebrate’. Why don’t we celebrate every day? We don’t know how long we will exist on this planet. Why waste it because of ego, attitude, and pride? We chase happiness and force ourselves to ‘fit in’ just to etch an artificial smile on our faces. It wasn’t the last leaf but a thoughtful act that saved a human!

Christmas may be the last festival of the year, but we can share the warmth of compassion and festivity every single day. This year, let’s release all stuck and old energies of the past. Let’s cautiously use our words to unlock golden opportunities as we enter 2026.

Let our words be a real source of inspiration for ourselves. Let’s believe in the power of our words. We can always offer a generous hand and brighten someone’s day with our awareness.

Let’s cut out junk in every form from our lives. Let’s learn to appreciate what has already been gifted to us. Let’s celebrate the basic, the simple, and the heart. In a bid to seek evidence and logic, let’s not waste the limited time we have. Let’s live. Let’s connect the mind, the heart, and the mouth so that every day we feel our best—and whoever crosses our path feels good too.

Words are party-ready all the time. Never forget that.
