Origin of music is unknown as it occured prior to the recorded history.
As per Google, theorists believe music and yoga is an attempt at a social glue, a way to bring humans together into a close-knit community that is quite evident if you watch a musical concert in which singer starts waving hands to the right and left and the audience with huge intense smile engage in exact same behaviour demonstrating that music and yoga are the most intense positive effect on them.
According to various researches, Music causes the brain to release dopamine, a feel good chemical that gives a surge of reinforcing pleasure. Listening to music has been found reducing stress and lifting mood by lowering the body’s cortisol levels, a hormone released in response to stress. Music therapy is a burgeoning field and is increasingly becoming a part of patient care. Plenty of people draw into the therapeutic effects of music like classical, meditative or spiritual when they want to be soothed. For others, rock music is a way to pump up. It doesn’t matter what genre you’re listening to as long as it interests you.
Music fixes our feelings or mistakes. A melodious song has an ability to raise our mood or get over a poignant memory. It can express what we cannot express verbally any feeling or passion especially love, affection, sympathy, desire, interest, motivation, joy is better expressed through a musical note Music has a mystical power. Moreover it transcend differences and create connections beyond borders. It unites people irrespective of their colour, caste, creed or religion.
In nutshell, Universe whole creation is musical from the chirping of the birds, the burble of the flowing streams, pitter patter raindrops on leaves, fluttering sound of a butterfly, wind ripping through the trees, leaves rustling in the wind, buzzing of bees, rumbling of thunder and much more.
These facts show that there is much more than an emotional connect with music. It’s a soul of our life. Playing a favourite track and dancing on the beats is like reaping healthy seeds that is equivalent to doing yoga and hence maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
