WHEN THE FAN STARTED TALKING – A Poetic Take

Girl staring at a ceiling fan

When the fan started talking, everyone was shocked. Its voice spun in a circle, and the wing opened fully.
A friend of growing temperature, when the days are hot and nights remain alone,
It swifts through the sweat – a steady companion in long summer seasons.

It said, “I have spun through your thoughts and dreams that are half awake with untold worries.
You weren’t alone in the depths of your night.
I was there, watching over you. I blow not only air, but a quiet kind of care.”

A thankless job that asked for no thanks, no medal, no glory – but a timely service,
To keep me fine, to make you ease.
A comforting sound gives cool wind,
A friend with blades and grace,
The fan kept on spinning, holding its place.
