Hello world, the future just arrived today A brand new baby is here to play Ten little fingers - ten tiny toes Mommy's eyes and Daddy's nose Growing tall expanding hearts Born fearless right from start Warm eyes, mischievous nose Stars twinkling at their toes Tiny feet yet standing tall Big dreams that teaches us all Let's see beyond their little frame Hidden magic is their name Welcome to the parenting world of stinky diapers and sleepless nights More focus on baby than parents life Little baby is loved from the start A tiny miracle laying closely to everyone's heart Splash goes colour and spreads joy all around Babies are the gift that make the world go round Sharing the roller-coaster experience of my parenting life Love meant so much more the day I held you for the first time Life gained meaning that I couldn't understand that you are mine Our eyes met, you gave a cry, my joy became complete Loved your innocence, tiny fingers and little feet I listened to your inner voice saying When I'm ready I'll smile You'll have to wait a little while That's the first thing I learn to do I want it be just right for you I'll sleep through, there may be small things you can do Yet you'll soon find that in the end it's upon me I'll crawl and then you'll have no peace atall Everything I'll be, no time for hot cup of coffee or a tea I'll walk when I'm ready, I'll talk too That's it, big milestones done yet cherish the moments to come Parenting worry was a waste of time Decision of when and how was always mine I did it all, in the end, nice and steady I told you I'd do it when I was ready
