Shudder!! Thrill!! Goosebumps!!
Shashanka Ghosh’s Freddy was binged by me with literally no expectations, and thus it surprised me to the core.
The movie revolves around romance , obsession, betrayal..these adjectives do sound very monotonous, but trust me, the thrill that this movie gives us is unexpectedly riveting.
The movie also talks about domestic violence and the rage that it beholds on a woman’s body and her heart.
#KartikAaryan has marked himself as a sorted and extremely talented actor through this movie, Alaya F. accompanys him so well that they both are a real treat to watch even in those ugliest scenes of Freddy.
The story tells us about a socially awkward Parsi Dentist Mr. Freddy Ginwala ( Kartik ) and his love Kayenazz (Alaya ) , how Kayenazz betrays Freddy, and then begins the cold blooded brain game of Freddy. It keeps you gripped throughout.
The plot is set in Matunga area of Mumbai which holds a major part of Parsi culture and that makes the movie more pragmatic.
Well…well…Do not miss the end !!
The end is again unexpected, horrifying, obnoxious and nail-biting.
Woof!! I have never ever used so many adjectives in a movie review, this this movie calls for a #mustwatch .
Watch Freddy for sheer brilliant story , astounding direction and humble yet distinguished performances.
