Dahaad is a crime thriller, the plot revolves around a crime where umpteen women are found dead in public toilets. The series does a great job in delivering its message. It does a great job in all the aspects, may it be the astounding acting, direction or the profound background music.
This crime series deals with a psychopath – Vijay Verma who has given the series a different level of grip by his outstanding acting. His psychologically calm demeanor holds the audience’s hearts. Vijay Verma’s character would perplex you, make you hate him, but his chilling screen presence would make you fall for him.
Sonakshi Sinha has done a commendable job as a powerful cop in her debut on the OTT web series. Sonakshi Sinha puts the series in a win-win situation by dealing with issues like castism and portraying the role of a strong woman who Denys to surrender to the subjective society’s abnormal standards about women.
Gulshan Devaiah is as usual excellent as a cop, the scenes where he’s seen understanding his children and giving wings to them are heartwarming. Also, Soham Shah has been tremendous as a police officer dealing with a multitude of struggles and playing a perfectly balanced role.
At some point Dahaad also becomes a little predictable like those crime shows on TV, but the legendary acting and accent done by the actors makes this series addictive and thrilling.
While the movie jumps into many social issues those are covered very brilliantly, but the issues so not diverge the thrill and adventure that Vijay Verma and the police cops bring into each episode of Dahaad.
If you are free this weekend, Dahaad on Amazon Prime is a great to go series.
