Alok lived with his siblings in a high rise building on the top floor in the city of dreams, Mumbai. They had an open paved terrace attached to their apartment.
Alok was the eldest and was very fond of cars. He started his own business of assembling customized bikes and cars five years back, and he did very well in his automobile business.
His younger brothers, Ankit and Abhay, helped him. But the trouble began when suddenly Alok started feeling sensations in the body, like something crawling on the skin or the movement of internal organs.
His brother Ankit took him to the doctor, who prescribed some medicines. In a couple of days, Alok felt much better.
But this was for a brief while. One night, he woke up with a jerk and started screaming, “Stop knocking on my doors and windows.”
Hearing this, his siblings rushed to his room and found Alok sitting on the floor. They managed to calm him down and put him off to sleep. This continued for some time. But in the morning, he used to forget everything and act normal. So his brothers did take this seriously.
Weeks passed by. One evening he told his siblings that someone calls him often and threatens to kill him. The stranger also came home and tried to push him off their terrace. His siblings made fun of him and thought he was exaggerating. From that day onwards, Alok never stayed alone at home, even during day time.
It so happened one evening that his siblings went out for an overnight party. Alok invited his friend to come and stay with him that night. But at around 11p.m, his friend’s mom called and asked him to return home immediately as his father was unwell and needed to be taken to the hospital. The next morning, when his siblings came back, they found Alok lying dead.
How did Alok die?
Did hallucination kill him? OR
Did the stranger strangle him to death? OR
Was his friend the culprit?
