Attaining peace

#Peace #AttainingPeace

Attaining a calm mind isn’t as easy as it sounds. We are so often bogged down by a restless mind. It wants to tackle thousand things, it wants to fix issues, complete all the undone tasks and at the same time figure out if everything is going to be ‘alright’. When we have a lot going on in our lives our mind feels out of control and we feel helpless and stressed which makes us unhappy.

So what can be done about this restlessness?

Tell me, in our quest to maximise the day, do we allow our minds to rest? Why not try to attain peace in midst of this chaos by calming our mind?

Sharing few ways to calm the mind as well as seize the day :

1. Let us begin by sitting at a quiet spot for 5-10 minutes daily. Let the thoughts come and go. With practice these thoughts will reduce.

2. Make a list of all the things you need to do. Empty your mind onto your notepad. Sort them. Group them. Prioritize them.

3. Assign each day or maybe a fixed time to tend to the things on your list.

4. Do one task at a time. Multi-tasking doesn’t work always. It might be a good thing to slow down. Focus on one task completely then move on to another.

5. Ask for help. If you are getting overwhelmed with the messiness in your life. Ask for assistance from your friends or relatives to get you organised.

To sum it up, my Point of view is rest and give yourself time to replenish your energy. Regulate your emotions when you are feeling anxious. The mind is already brilliant, abundant enough and beautiful, everything we need is already contained in us. Let the mind relax and get hold of our being. It’s a lifetime practice to attain a calm and peaceful mind but not impossible.
