I and my friends, had a random discussion about watching porn, this wasn’t the first time we were exploring this topic, but to our perplex, some of us rigidly said ” Auratein kaha porn dekhti hai? ” (women don’t watch porn). I was astounded and unimpressed simultaneously.
Later in the evening I retrospected the whole conversation, I perceived that it is indeed a stiff pre-conceived notion that women don’t watch porn, rather they don’t enjoy watching porn.
Why do women wash their hands off pornography?
- Women enjoy porn, they love to explore new things about sex and intimacy. They feel de-stressed as they watch porn. The fact that “what will people think about me”, makes a woman watch and relish porn secretly. Women use and enjoy explicit sexual imagery for their pleasure, just like men.
Do feminists watch porn?
- Some feminists ( We call them pseudo-feminists) detest watching porn because they believe that porn objectifies women. They have this false faith that women in general don’t enjoy sex, they are forced to do sex. I even read some feminists said ” They watch porn made for men”.
Is porn gender specific?
- Porn is a de-stress, it could never be gender specific because both men and women differ in their porn use habits, there could certainly be difference in choices or types of porn watched by men and women.
Conclusion-
The overthinker in me realised that everyone takes a pleasure in watching porn, but no one wants to address the elephant in the room.
