Love happens

Author: Swati Tamhankar Mohandas

Love is magical and one of the most profound emotions known to humans. Love inspires us, motivates us, we begin to enjoy our lives more by keeping the essence of joy and happiness alive within us.

Our society insists on believing in monogamy, hence our brain is conditioned into believing so. These norms make us feel like love happens only once and rest is anything but love.

It is natural to feel that love happens only once especially after experiencing a heartbreak. However, as the saying goes, ‘Time heals everything even a broken heart’ and love is not limited to one experience alone. It may take time to heal and move on from a heart break but love can happen again, in fact it can be even more meaningful and complete than before.

Sometimes, love is also loving from a distance. Each time it doesn’t work with the person you loved, you let the person you loved occupy a tiny place in your heart and agree with yourself to never let that part see the light of hope again. In such a scenario I would like to believe that hopefully this fairy-tale will take its course in the next life.

I have also understood that the greatest love is the one that stays incomplete. However, having said this it is undoubtedly amazing to experience a love like what we all have read about in romantic novels or seen in classic movies. Besides, love is dynamic and we may fall for many people in our lifetime and it not necessarily be romantic always.

To Sum it up, my Point of view is yes, love can happen not only twice but multiple times maybe with different people and maybe with the same intensity. I would use this quote which states that

‘every ending is a new beginning of a beautiful chapter in our life’.
