Like they say – All that glitters is not gold – Having twins isn’t just a wow feeling, it is tough, tougher, toughest!
Hi, I am a mother of adorable twin boys ( this is how I usually introduce myself and my kids these days ) But that’s not the fact- The honest introduction would be – Hello, I am a twin mommy, I have super active – naughty twin boys who leave no stone unturned to make my life difficult. Motherhood is different to everyone and it comes with its own bliss and challenges , but twin motherhood is altogether a different story.
It comes with double challenges and twice the bliss! You can’t keep calm at any point in life because they don’t mind keeping you on your toes for all your life. My twins aren’t fraternal, they eat , sleep, pee and poop together. And I am that hands on mom being after them day in and day out. People ask – “Is that exhausting?” I just smile ( this shouldn’t be a question actually) I am most of the time exhausted but I don’t choose to look like one.
I perceive I can’t be a perfect mother to them but I can certainly be a crazy and happy person that they would love to be like when they grow up. Being a twin mother, my hands are always full and I get to keep a watch on them with not 2 but 4 eyes.
Sometimes I fail , other days I give up and on rare days me and my twins rejoice. Twin parenting isn’t a cake walk but we try to make it at least sweet as cake with our two muffins. Struggles of a twin mother
- Twins eat and sleep together, you usually can’t change their patterns
- If one is anxious, the other gets hyper too
- They imitate each other when it comes to play and trouble making
- There’s a constant mess around that you could never clear Ways to slay twin motherhood.
- Make a weekly meal plan.
- Teach your twins to eat on their own since early age.
- Ignore the mess around for your own mental peace.
- Teach them to take care of each other.
- Take them out with you everywhere, they learn and explore social skills. Enjoy yourself as much as you live your Motherhood!
