Is fashion limited to dressing for a party?
Or a daily fiesta celebrating the gift of beauty?
I’ve often wondered how one can be fashionable without being a slave to fashion so to speak. For me personally the answer is not necessarily in competing in the race of stylish trends, but in that quiet mirror on the wall, that doesn’t hold back the truth of one’s entire appearance, shape, age and height. That reflection is the best guide to fashion choices along with personal preferences to bring out one’s best looks.
Elegance is the key to celebrating this fashion fiesta. It’s good to choose colours that enhance one’s appearance and self confidence. I personally like a variety of shades, red, blue, green, yellow in my clothing. Variety in what one wears also brings an aura of zest to one’s looks. So, it is nice to switch between tee shirt and slacks to salwar kameez, dresses and saris.
I also wear clothing according to the occasion with cotton, nylon, light silks and georgettes generally for more casual or daily wear, and heavier silks and satins for more formal occasions. All this also varies to bring out one’s bloom like a rose.
Accessories like earrings, necklaces, bracelets and waistbands even to the smallest extent enhance the simplest attire. Along with that comes the choices of shoes or sandals which can add much style to one’s attire.
Arranging one’s hair in different ways, whether in a ponytail, bun, French twist or a classic plait gives us the opportunity to let these beautiful tresses of Nature partake of this fiesta. Then follows make up like icing on the cake, with a choice of rouge, foundation, eye shadow or eyeliner, applied according to one’s comfort level and taste.
My fashion fiesta is ultimately in golden sunshine, Draping me in a gown glorious and divine.
In the night stars decking me in ivory white
And the moon’s veil my heart’s mystery to ignite
For tis the inner smile of Nature’s glamour that I seek That brings all elegance to its highest peak!
