Recently the very vivacious and opinionated actress Neena Gupta made a very bold statement that caught everyone’s eyes and , some took it in a right way (bitter truth types ) , and multitudes of men and women found it vulgar , insensitive and shameless for a woman to say it. The gorgeous actress has always been flamboyant and very Frank about her opinions.
Neena Gupta , in a recent interview said ” Between a man and a woman’s relationship, there is only lust. There is lust in the beginning but after that , it can take any direction, you marry or you go to somebody else. It’s only with a child- that love I feel that I can do anything for her. For my husband I will do, I do a lot , but I will not do anything for him as I will do for Masaba .”
The statement instantly got literally glorified, memofied and criticized.
Lust – Ain’t lust actually the beginning?
What’s shameful about putting it in the right way ?
To me what she said holds truth and practicality, plus it is absolutely okay to have your own opinions and put them forth.
If you like it – good
If you don’t like it – Never mind
She said it in a very poignant and relevant way without making anything uncomfortable or confusing.
I always feel amazed how excitedly we watch series like “Lust Stories” and then easily take a jab on a woman’s opinion about love and lust !
Very well said Avni, this if you like it good, if you don’t like it never mind, seems smell but it’s a very firm and strong statement that one should firmly stick to for everything and every perspective. Every individual has right to live life their way, with their values, their beliefs. Until and unless it harms the sentiments of the community , stay the way you are, follow your heart.
Absolutely this is so true and why can’t they see the mother’s emotion what she is trying to put across is that mother’s love is unconditional, everything else or every other relationship has some motive and comes with terms and conditions. I don’t know which century these people live in for whom talking about sex, periods, etc is still a taboo
