Vacation Mode on

Author: Kinjal Jain

After ample discussions, gatherings, shopping lists & adjusting school schedules, this trip made its way out of friends’ WhatsApp chats.

A vacation like this is impossible to forget. Ocean air & salty hair, flip-flop & distinct memories.

Xin Chao! Welcome to Vietnam ????????!

A Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers & pagodas. Presently, a communist country with a tough fight-back history with the French during World Wars -1 & 2.

Vietnamese is their official language & Vietnamese Dong, their currency.

We started this trip with its capital city Hanoi. A beautiful city with rich history & heritage. Da Nang, Phu Quoc Island, and Ho Chi Minh City were the lined-up cities, we visited. The main attraction is the famous “ Trainstreet”, Hoa Lo prison, Ba Na Hills, Hoi An‘s ancient town( lantern town), and cruises with thousands of limestone islands.

Believe me, these limestone islands magnificently look like locations of Avengers or some superpower flicks. They are that massive & stunning.

Each city had its speciality heeding its beauty & history.

Ho Chi Minh had the world-famous Cu Chi tunnels which Viet Cong soldiers used as their hiding spaces during combat in their resistance to American forces.

Vietnam is a must-visit place for an enthusiast of water sports.

We tried our hands-on scuba diving, snorkelling, Kayaking & Bay cruises.

Don’t forget your sunscreens before exploring the waters.

No therapy works better than shopping or a body/foot massage.

So, I indulged in luxurious bags, sportswear & shoes for a good deal.

Since being a manufacturing country for good brands.

Don’t miss them if you are travelling to Vietnam.

How could I forget the food?

There are a few veg Indian restaurants but only in a few cities.

I am a Jain food person so I carried my ready-to-eat packets for the trip.

The only available found source for a Jain was fruits & salads.

Rest it was a paradise of entertainment, adventure &discovery that will make one fascinated.

I have attached my personal images of the trip to give an insight into its beauty.
