Som had visited more than ten publishers with his novel manuscript, but none had shown interest. Writing was his passion. His parents had willed him to become a lawyer, but destiny had different plans.
Now depressed and frustrated, Som wondered whether he had made the right decision. He saw a café and decided to have tea. Spotting his friend Karan, he joined him.
Soon, Karan’s friend Manu arrived. When Som mentioned he was a writer, Manu showed interest in seeing his work. Som handed over the manuscript. After going through it, Manu said, “My friend Mahesh wants to make a short film on the same subject. Your story would interest him. Let’s go and meet him.”
Som was speechless.
