Covid has engulfed our planet as if it is a part of the atmosphere. Wherever there is a human being breathing in oxygen, there is covid. Incidental or accidental, intentional or unintentional, this invisible programmed string of proteins, has made the world go in a tail spin and crash land.
Millions of lives have been lost. Misery has been added to the lives of those left behind. It has reaffirmed the fragility of human life. But then, even this ominous cloud has a small silver lining. It too has brought out certain positive sides of the human race.
It was amazing to find out how people from every country had settled or were working in every other country. Humans themselves have created the boundaries and they know also how to scale them. Earth is a one big village after all. People know how to explore the opportunities and how to reach where there are likely better prospects.
This worldwide interspersion of diverse populace would have not been possible without connectivity. Virus travelled through people and reached each and every country. And at an amazing pace. Which means, every part of the world is connected to the other. It was soon clear that we are fighting a global war and not just one group or country against the other. It is something which threatened the human race as such without any discretion. This made all the countries forget their individual differences of opinion and brought them all together in the fight of survival.
Data was shared and policies formulated. These were implemented all across the globe to provide every human being equal opportunity of survival. The pandemic also showed that technology has evolved enough where factories manufacturing arms shifted gear and started manufacturing medical equipment. Research labs went into overdrive and came out with unique solutions to fight the demon. We have enough talent and resources to combat the unforeseen. Medicines and vaccine were available in the record time.
Most heart-warming scenario was the aid shared by all the countries. For once, arms race was put on hold and human race was accorded the top priority.
